Cross Fork's in a "Black Zone"

mrfritz44 - Mon, 01/18/2010 - 9:46pm

Cross Fork happens to sit in one of the few black light pollution zones in PA. This means that it's one of the best spots to look for deep sky objects like nebulae and galaxies in PA.

Does anyone know of a hilltop site away from lights and not adjacent to roads that is available to view from? I'd be coming from around Kutztown, PA and would also need lodging.

Astronomy is inherently a quiet and low key activity so if people know you're there you're doing it wrong.

Thanks,

Fred

Fred,

You should check out Cherry Springs State Park. They have a good website.
